Regional Pilates Manager for Equinox, SoCal

It’s offical! That is now my new position and title. I’m so excited to share and grow pilates with Southern California! I’ll transition out of Group Fitness next week :( bittersweet. The transition is exciting and sad at the same time. I’ll still be based at the Century City location but now with a sole focus on Pilates. I’m handing over the Century City Group Fitness program over to the MOST talented and capable person, our Regional GF Manager, Keith Irace. I heart Keith:) I cannot wait to share and office with him!

Lot’s of isometric, pilates, core work!

April is nearly over!

April hasbeen such a big month for me! I taught 5 events that have totally convinced me of pimpyourmat. Chris Stanley and I taught Disc Jockey at Palos Verdes on Saturday and Santa Monica Equinox on Sunday. The response is continually the same…….a bit of shock, certainly NOT your traditional class. The purists in the group balked at the gliding discs, snuffed a bit at the music, and then……….felt the work:) Always by the end they classes were won over! YAY! more muscular sensation means they truely ‘got it’. There was no doubt where they were suppsed to ‘feel’ it. And in turn, we have a request of putting together and advnaced version for teachers only. That’s what I’ll be doing in my spare time;)

p.s. on the home front, my 13 year old stepson Marco took his first pilates lesson in tandem with his dad tonight…everyone is still speaking, and in fact i htink a bit nicer to one another. *sigh* the family that pilates together……

Palos Verdes Equinox - tomorrow at 10:15am

I’m teaching Disc Jockey with Chris Stanley! The format continues to insprie me, difficult work, sweaty, and extremely muscular. it’s a bit of a shock to people expecting a regular mat class……i’m even sore!
a little sushi, then to bed. night, night pilates peeps!

LA ink

It’s not specifically pilates, but it’s officail! I’m going to be on LA ink! I’ll keep you updated to the when and what time. I’m not sure who will be doing the artwork, it’s all very mysterious……but i’m sure it will be gorgeous. A butterfly, a caterpillar and the proverb ‘What a caterpillar sees as the end of it’s life, the world sees as a butterfly’. Hopefully all of that will fit on my left arm, from shoulder to elbow. I may be getting the tattoo as early as next week! obviously, it’ll air next season. In the meantime check out LA ink here.
