exercisetv shoot

Yesterday I shot for exerciesetv for the first time and it was AWESOME! I can’t wait for you all to see and use the downloadable workouts. They are all pilates mat formats; a 30, a 10 and 5 2 minute bits. It’s approximately 3 months before they’re available but I can’t WAIT! …..not only are your abs and core totally worked in this series, if it’s any indication, MY booty and hamstrings are totally SORE today. Yay!

I’m sending a BIG thank you to exercisetv (especially Allyson) and everyone at Dragonfly productions. I was a little stunned by the support and feedback. Thank You!

Until mine are available, check out other workouts available at exercisetv

New Gear Worth Buying- K-Swiss

Dear Readers-

I know it’s been a bit since I’ve posted. I’m human :( As the holidays approach and the year comes to an end there is much to do and prepare for. BUT I will stay as connected as I can. I only like to post when I truly have something to say or share…sometimes, that takes time.

This time it’s a gear share. I have been wearing the new K-Swiss Tubes. A shoe, that yes, I turned my nose up and went ‘Really? K-Swiss? I sooo don’t play tennis’. Then I tried them on. In the past I have worn mostly nike and PUma because my foot is so narrow. I must say this may be the MOST COMFORTABLE fitness shoe I’ve ever woron. Yes. that is saying a lot. and the price point is AWESOME $75.

The lateral stability is snug and perfect without suffocating your foot. The toe space (I have no idea what the real term in) allows your toes to actually spread out (THEY WAY THEY SHOULD) so no more cramped feet or ingrown toenails…yes, you know who you are that get them chronically. AND they are a pilates shoe ! :) ‘What?!’ You say…well, they respect the natural make-up of your foot, it actually allows your foot to articulate through it’s full range of moving. NEAT! I can actually feel my foot articulate in a running shoe. Love it.

Check them out. I love them. I am a convert and may never wear another pair of shoes again. They are light and stable. An excellent combo for running, jumping, training or just keeping your body happy while teaching in the pilates studio. Word.

My Schedule-

Yes! I will start posting my scheudle if/when I add events, classes or subs on a week to week basis. That way you aren’t running around to the wrong location if I happen to not be there that day or so you don’t miss an added class I’m subbing!

As the holidays approach, it’s probably a good idea all around;)

Tax on Yoga

I still keep on eye on St. Louis. It’s where I moved from 3 years ago before coming to LA. I love it and truely claim it as my home town. It did turn out to be where I “grew up”.
So here’s the latest; the STL has added a tax to Yoga classes stating they are more fitness then religion….hmmmm
check it out.

Another article mentions in the title that pilates is included in the tax, but no real mention in the body of the article. On principal I’d have to argue that Yoga is a spiritual practice and should be exempt. EXCEPT so many fitness facilities really bill it as ‘fitness’ alone. Perhaps if your class has no savasana it’s taxed?
