Better Late then Never

Sendhil Ramamurthy is another one of my clients. These pics are from when he was training with me 4-5xs a week prior season 3. Yes, he’s pretty without pilates, but it definately upped the ante a bit. Needles to say, his shirt was off quite a bit more that season.
enjoy the pix;)heroes-s3-butterfly-ramamurthy-ramirezsendilram

Training Wheels- or lack there of

The lenses I look at the world through are definately fitness skewed. Milo and I were at the park yesterday and have stumbled upon the COOLEST kid thing EVER. a Balance Bike If you have kids, neices, nephews, grandkids or super cool neighbors, check it out. It’s a bike WITHOUT pedals that will train kiddos balance (basically training their core instead of giving them training wheels). NEAT! Milo is obsessed. I just think it’s smart and simple. And Theres a wooden one. Less icky plastic. It’s a win, win win. base_media

Newest Lululemon Favorites

I think by now everyone knows how mucj I love Lululemon Athletic gear.Their stuff is smart, fashionable, technical and lasts FOREVER.
My Lulu sweatshirts are basically my bankies. Like the best loved stuffed animal or satin blanket of a toddler, my sweatshirts go EVERYWHERE with me, even when it’s not cool or needed. Mine were starting to look a little ‘too’ loved. Enter, the Free To Be Jacket in passion. Never thought I’d be ‘passion’ kinda girl, come to find out it looks good on my skin tone and is much happier than black. I also ended up with a pair of Flashback Shorts that are the cuuuutest and I’m not usually a fan of shorts. (My mom had a thing about showing her knees after a certain age and I’m prone to possible agree.) Anyhow, I rocked them with a pair of basball socks. Pretty cute if i do say so myself. check ‘em out. I Heart Lulu.

LA trip

Last week was my first visit back since moving to Austin. It Rocked. I could not ask for better clients, a nicer reception or a more gorgeous space to teach in. Juliet Kaska’s JK Zen studio (116 N Robertson, 8th Floor) is truly a balancing retreat. Filled with gorgeous, new Balanced Body equipment with a distinct eye for detail (Buddha water feature at the front door and discrete pebbles inlaid in the floor.) The view from the windows (YES, windows to the outside world) is stunning. It makes LA look, in person, the way it looks in magazines.

I’m in the process of filming homework for each of the clients I saw last week. bits for them to be working on when I am away. I should be on track to return every 8 weeks.

I be posting my next travel dates which should include a master class and/or workshop or two. Stay tuned. Thank you LA for the open arms. BIG HUG back.

Best little day spa in LA

I have a lot of things to share about my last trip to LA but the most fun anecdotal info I have for you is CARASOIN best brow wax EVER. My next trip I’m scheduling a facial. I’ll keep you posted. But everything in the spa smells amazing. And I mean chic amazing, smells that are not typical from every other spa in LA (no skincueticals, no yanka etc etc). Plus it’s owned and run by a fabulously endearing English couple with soothing accents. Can’t go wrong. Sweet serenity on Robertson Blvd. It’s just below Juliet’s studio that I taught in. DEFINATELY worth checking out. then get a juice OR an americano from the Newstand.

Teaser—–

noooo not the EXERCISE…….a teaser of what you’ll get to see and experience if you are trianing with me next week in LA at Juliet Kaska’s gorgeous pilates studio.

Come on, don’t YOU wanna train here?

I’m in LA to train April 12-16th!

I’m so excited to let you know I will be in LA to teach April 12th-16th (see, I wasn’t kidding, I couldn’t stay away for long!)

Sessions are first come first serve, let me know as soon as you can.

The Details: I will be teaching out of a gorgeous, new, super private space on Robertson that I think you all will love. If any of you know Juliet Kaska, this is her new home in LA. She and I have embarked on a friendship and unlimited possibility;) This could be a home for my teacher training program and for you, my clients, when I am in town.

Along with all new and worthy endeavors there are costs that go along with them… new, stunning spaces to rent, flight, etc etc. Rates to train will be $150 hr.

Training Times: If you do NOT see a time that works for you, please ASK, I might be able to make accomodations.
